SASFAA in Music City
Nashville's sites and attractions provide numerous fun and exciting options for conference delegates. From pre and post conference outings and off-site venues Nashville's wide variety of entertainment options offer something for everyone. Historic 2nd Avenue overlooking the Cumberland River is the center of Downtown's entertainment and dining district. You'll find restaurants such as Hard Rock Café, Big River Grille, Prime Cut, The Melting Pot; many Clubs featuring live entertainment from rock to jazz, and of course country, such as the WildHorse Saloon, B.B. King's, Tootsie's Orchid Lounge, Legends Corner, Graham Central Station, Club Caliente, and the Bourbon Street Blues & Boogie Bar. 2nd Avenue and lower Broadway are lined with numerous unique shops and trendy boutiques for your shopping delight. Best of all, the downtown entertainment, dining and shopping district is an easy walk from the Nashville Convention Center.

Nashville's ode to country music and its stars. No trip to Nashville is complete without a visit to this museum. The stunning building brings country music center stage with an impressive mix of technology and artifacts. See Hank Williams' ivory suit stitched with musical notes, Roger Miller's 11 Grammys and Trisha Yearwood's application for a tour guide position at the original museum.

Frist Center for the Visual Arts

This nonprofit art-exhibition center has approximately 24,000 square feet of gallery space, dedicated to presenting the finest visual art from local, state and regional artists, as well as major U.S. and international exhibitions. Open Sat – Wed 10 am – 5:30 Thurs - Fri 10 am – 9 pm


The Parthenon

This Nashville landmark stands proudly as the centerpiece of Centennial Park, Nashville's premier urban park, located just a few miles from downtown. The re-creation of the 42-foot statue Athena is the focus of the Parthenon just as it was in ancient Greece. The building and the Athena statue are both full-scale replicas of the Athenian originals. Open Tues – Sat 9 am – 4:30 pm and Sun 12:30 pm-4:30 pm. Admission is $5.00.
