PRESIDENT'S WELCOME

Dear Friend,

Welcome to the 2007 SASFAA Annual Conference Web site.

Michael Morgan, SASFAA Conference Chair, and the Conference Committee are putting together a great program. Whether you are a relatively new financial aid administrator or someone that has been in the profession for a number of years, you will find many opportunities for your professional development. I look forward to greeting each of you at the Nashville Renaissance Hotel, Nashville, Tennessee, February 11-14, 2007. We are going to have a great time!

Look for general sessions with wonderful speakers that will motivate us, lift our spirits, and provide us with up-to-date information from the U. S. Department of Education and NASFAA. I encourage you to review the proposed conference agenda that is available on this website. You will find a listing of over 50 concurrent session topics that will cover a wide variety of topics that will enable us to gain additional insight into our profession.

We continue to follow the SASFAA annual conference tradition and will conduct a one-day workshop for our colleagues that have limited financial aid experience. The New Aid Officers Workshop will be held on Sunday, February 11, and will be led by a team of experienced SASFAA financial aid professionals.

I appreciate the efforts of the Conference and Local Arrangement Committees and for the hard work they have done in putting together the events of the 44th SASFAA Annual Conference. Please continue to look for e-mails that will announce updates to the website as they become available.

I look forward to seeing you in Nashville.
Brent Tener
SASFAA President
