New Aid Officer Workshop

Are you a new or fairly new to the Financial Aid Profession and feeling over regulated from ECASLA and HEOA changes? Do you need a little extra training on all the Financial Aid Programs and Regulations?

If so, we have specialized training sessions designed just for you! Attend the New Aid Officer’s one day workshop in conjunction with the SASFAA Conference. A few of the topics are listed below:

  • Student Eligibility – FAFSA
  • The ABCs of Financial aid
  • How to Calculate the Expected Family Contribution (EFC)
  • Verification - Mystery of the Tax Returns
  • Financial Aid Programs - Grants vs Groans vs Loans
  • Where can I go for help?

SASFAA Annual Conference New Aid Officer’s Workshop
      When:   Sunday, February 8, 2009
      Where:  Sheraton – Myrtle Beach Convention Center, Myrtle Beach, SC
      Time:     8:30 am – 4:00 pm
      Continental Breakfast served at 8:00 am
      Lunch will be served at Noon

Sign up to attend this workshop when you register for the conference. There is a box you will need to check on the registration form that indicates you are interested in attending the New Aid Officer’s Workshop. Remember the workshop begins at 8:30 am, you may wish to arrive on Saturday, February 7, 2009 to be ready for the workshop promptly at 8:30 am Sunday morning. There are two items needed for the workshop, a calculator and notebook. We look forward to seeing you there.

A continental breakfast will be served at 8:00 am, so plan to arrive early!
