Community Service Project: This year's charity is Family Scholar House. For more information about the charity visit the link on the conference site.
Elections: SASFAA officer elections will be held during the conference. Candidate information will be placed on the SASFAA website. Online voting stations will be available Monday and Tuesday in the Marriott Ballroom, 2nd Level. Times will be posted in your conference program. Please retrieve your SASFAA password for online voting.
Internet Access: You will have access to a PC Lab (Marriott Ballroom, 2nd Level) to check your e-mail and browse the Internet. Each hotel guest room also has high speed Internet access (fees apply).
Meals on Your Own: Dinner on Monday night and lunch on Tuesday will be on your own. You are welcome to pick up information about restaurant options in the KASFAA Commuter Suite located in the Exhibitor Area, 2nd Level.
New Aid Officer's Pre-Conference Workshop: On Sunday, February 21st from 8:30 am to 4:00 pm learn the basics of Financial Aid. When registering, please check the box showing you are interested in attending this workshop. If you have any questions please e-mail Kim Jenerette at kjenerette@swu.edu
Mid-Level Aid Officer Pre-Conference Workshop: On Saturday and Sunday, February 20th and 21st. The workshop on Saturday is from 10-5 and Sunday 8:30-11:30. The agenda includes topics such as Professional Judgment, Verification, "C" codes, SAP and ethics in the aid office. If you have any questions, please email Kim Jenerette at kjenerette@swu.edu
Packing: Dress for the conference will be business casual (that means no suits are necessary). At the Banquet on Tuesday night, we encourage you to show your 70's fashion style and be ready for the SASFAA 'Night Fever' celebration. Wednesday, February 23rd, is "School Spirit Day". In addition, do not forget your business cards to share when meeting new colleagues.
Parking: Plenty of parking is available at the hotel and various locations around hotel. Parking is $21.00 per day in the Marriott hotel garage. Hyatt garage is $12 daily or $13 overnight and open parking lots behind hotel on Liberty Street about $8 a day.
Pre-conference Seminar: A pre-conference seminar will be held on Sunday, February 21st. Details about the seminar can be found under the "Pre-Conference Events" link on the Conference Site.
President's Reception: The President’s Reception will be held on Sunday evening. SASFAA President Keith Reeves and the Conference Committee invite you to a reception to warm-up with your SASFAA colleagues as we begin our journey through the decades together - Racing to the Future: Change, Collaborate and Celebrate!
Registration: Don’t forget, you may pre-register for the conference online at www.sasfaa.org by selecting "Conferences" from the left side menu options, then selecting "Click Here to Visit the Conference Site" and finally clicking on "Conference Registration." The Registration area will be located in the Marriott Ballroom Foyer – Level 2.
Travel: Directions and local transportation options are available under the "Travel & Transportation Information" link on the Conference Site.
Wednesday Breakfast/Closing Session: When scheduling your travel to and from the conference, please take note that the Federal Update and Q&A with the Feds will be from 9 – 11:15 am.
