Successful Collaboration in Implementing
HEOA Final Regulations
Sunday
February 21, 2010 Cost: Free for SASFAA members
This pre-conference workshop is presented to assist you in learning how your colleagues have devised methods to implement the many regulatory provisions which emerged from the Higher Education Opportunity Act (HEOA). We will discuss such timely topics as campus safety reporting requirements; prevention of illegal file sharing on our campuses; readmission of service members; and assisting students with intellectual disabilities. We will be joined by an official from the U.S. Department of Education to provide an overview of the requirements, and by colleagues who will share their experiences and solutions in implementing them. Be ready to interact and collaborate with your colleagues by sharing your ideas and questions that will lead to a successful implementation to meet final regulatory requirements.
