OCTOBER 2003

Mississippi State Report
Patrick James, MASFAA President

Mississippi will again be hosting the NASFAA decentralized training on November 13 at Hinds Community College. Teresa Bost, Mississippi State University, and Soraya Welden, Meridian Community College, will be leading the training. Mississippi will also be sponsoring Financial Aid 101 in April 2004 at the Duncan Gray Center in Canton, Mississippi.

For the second year, MASFAA will not have a fall conference. We will be moving our spring conference to a new venue in Biloxi, the Beau Rivage for the first of a two year contract. MASFAA is very excited about our spring conference having a new look and feel.
