Community Service Project Announced
For 2004 SASFAA Conference

The Diversity Committee is busy planning what we hope will be a very successful event. As a pre-conference event, area high school students will be invited to attend a Financial Aid Fair where they will be able to complete their FAFSA and engage in other activities. This will be SASFAA’s community service project for this year. Through media coverage, working with high school counselors, and through various other ways of getting the message out, it is hoped that this project will be a great success.

In order to pull this off, "we need your help"! The fair will be held on Saturday, February 14, from 1 PM to 5 PM. As you make your plans to attend the conference, please consider volunteering your time to help with this project. To volunteer, print and complete the Community Service Volunteer form which can be found on the SASFAA Web site at www.sasfaa.org. You can mail or fax the form following the instructions on the form.

We want this to be a successful project. This will be another way for SASFAA to support our conference theme, "Accessthe Key to Brighter Futures," by using our knowledge and skills to assist these high school students as they prepare for their future.

If you would like additional information, you can contact any member of the Diversity Committee: Mary Givhan, Chair; Liza Bruce; Sandra Gibson; Anita Haynes; Em McNair; Mike O’Grady; or Pebblin Warren.
