Information Pertaining to the Nominations and Elections Process of SASFAA
Karen Koonce, Past President and Chair of the Nominations and Elections Committee

At the November 7-9, 2003 SASFAA board meeting, the Chair of the Nominations and Elections Committee presented to the board a slate of candidates who met the criteria for the offices of president-elect, vice president and secretary. The board approved the following slate as presented by the Karen, Koonce, Immediate Past President, who chairs the Nominations and Elections Committee: President-Elect, Guy F. Gibbs from Virginia; for Vice President, Debra “Dee” Talley of Alabama and Zita Barree of Virginia; and for Secretary, Sandra Neel of Kentucky and Brenda Paganelli of Mississippi.

Each candidate is featured in the December edition of the SASFAA newsletter. You will find statements of candidacy, resumes and photographs for each candidate.

As per section 6.13.1, Nominations, of the SASFAA Policy and Procedures Manual, the following information is provided to the SASFAA membership:

Information concerning voting on-site at the conference will be given during the opening session of the annual conference. For those SASFAA members who are unable to attend the annual conference, an absentee ballot is can be printed from December newsletter on the SASFAA Web site at www.sasfaa.org and clicking on the clink for the newsletter.
