“What a tremendous conference,” is something I have heard from many individuals. The 41st SASFAA Annual Conference in Birmingham, Alabama, was indeed great. So many individuals deserve recognition:
  • Zita Barree, Conference Chair
  • Michael Reynolds, Local Arrangement Chair
  • Lester McKenzie, SASFAA Treasurer
  • Forrest Stuart, Membership Chair
  • Bob Godfrey, Vendor/Sponsor Chair
  • Erik Melis, Electronic Services Chair
  • Mary Givhan, Diversity Chair
  • The Conference Committee
  • The Local Arrangements Committee
  • AASFAA

and on, and on. I really appreciate the effort and hard work that went into the planning and implementation of the conference. If you have not completed your evaluation of the conference, please make sure to submit it as soon as possible.

Congratulations to the newly elected board members:

  • Guy Gibbs, President-Elect
  • Zita Barree, Vice President
  • Sandra Neel, Secretary

Also, thanks to those individuals who ran. I would like to encourage you to consider this opportunity of service to SASFAA.

Also, congratulations to Jane McNaughton for receiving SASFAA’s Distinguished Service Award. Jane has certainly shown outstanding, significant and meritorious contributions to SASFAA. This recognition is well deserved.

The next SASFAA Board meeting will be held in June. Should you have any concerns, please feel free to contact any member of the board.

Thank you.
Ron Day
