SASFAA “Spotlight” Shines on the...
Georgia Association of Student Financial Aid Administrators (GASFAA)
Lenora Jackson, President

GASFAA is proud to announce that we now have a new Web site. Our new Web site went live on March 11, 2004. Please feel free to log in at www.gasfaa.org and take a look at some of the exciting areas that our open to non-members.

GASFAA is also pleased to announce that we will have electronic voting at our spring conference that will be held in Savannah at the Marriott, May 19-21, 2004.

We will be voting for new officers:

President Elect Suzanne Buttram, Director, Georgia College and State Univ.
Kathy Odom, Loan Management Office, Herzing College
Vice President - Programs Jill Rayner, Asst. Director, N. Georgia College & State University
Jon-Paul Keenan, AmSouth Bank
Vice President - Prof. Dev. David Bledsoe, Director, Georgia State University
Douglas Tanner, Director, Valdosta State University
Treasurer Jody Darby, Director, Mexi School
Patrick Bonones, Director, Oglethorpe University
Secretary Gina Repak, Financial Aid Officer, Georgia Tech

The Georgia legislators are still in session and debating on the future of our state HOPE Program; while we here in the aid offices ate hoping that the decision they decide upon will be one that will continue to help our students finance their education.

As state budgets are cut, we will continue to make every effort to ensure that we provide training in areas that are accessible to our members with the least expense.

Nellie Mae
