Diversity
Committee Report The Diversity Committee met via conference call November 1, 2005. The committee discussed the availability and cost of a general session speaker for the SASFAA Conference. Interest sessions were assigned to each committee member to develop descriptions and contact possible presenters. The committee is excited about hosting a Pathways to Leadership Luncheon on Tuesday from 11:30 am to 1:15 pm. Members who would like to become involved or more involved in our associations are invited to learn about the qualities and characteristics of effective leaders and about opportunities for leadership within SASFAA. All SASFAA members will have the opportunity to register for the luncheon at the same time as they register for the conference. However, attendance will have to be limited to the first 125 members who register. In addition to a general session and leadership luncheon, the committee is working on several interest sessions that should be informative and interesting to all the members. The committee will meet in Atlanta prior to the Electronic Access Conference to finalize sessions, speakers, presenters, etc. for the conference.
