| Membership
Committee Report The Membership Committee has been hard at work providing assistance to SASFAA members. Name and address labels were printed of all SASFAA members that were in the database since 2004 at the request of the Conference Committee Chair. Name badges were printed at the request of the Long Range Planning Committee Chair for the Leadership and Strategic Planning Summit. The committee also typed address labels of institutions in the SASFAA region to create a database for future mailing informing Presidents/Chancellors of the many benefits of SASFAA membership. The membership for 2005-2006 is growing steadily. Over eight hundred (800) members have joined or renewed their SASFAA membership. To check your membership status, go to www.sasfaa.org/doc/forms/memCheckStatus.html. Type your last name and click the submit button. View your “Members Only” Access Ends date. If the end date is not current, your dues should be renewed. All current SASFAA members should view their Member Profile. To view and/or update your demographic information, go to www.sasfaa.org/docs/toc_memberservices.html and click “Update Your Member Profile.” Please take time and make sure all of your information is correct. Site Selection
Committee Report November 2005 Site selection visits are scheduled for November in South Carolina for the 2009 Annual Conference. As you make your plans for the future, remember to mark your calendar for the future conferences that have been scheduled.

Projects Report In early December, an initial review will be made of current SASFAA Archived materials at the South Carolina Student Loan Corporation. After that time, an appeal will be made to all SASFAA members for copies of missing documents to be sent to add to the Archives. A study will be conducted on the feasibility and cost of having all records stored electronically with access available to all who would need to research SASFAA historical documents. A conference call will be held in November to discuss the steps which would be needed to set up a SASFAA Foundation. VASFAA and other states around the country have taken this step already and a review of those processes will be made with a report back to the Board in February. |
