and Finance Committee Report The Budget and Finance Committee presented its financial review of the 2004-2005 SASFAA financial records at the February Board Meeting. The Committee found the overall condition of the financial records to be very good. The Committee commends the SASFAA Treasurer and the 2004-2005 Budget and Finance Committee for their work. While there were some exceptions to Association policies and practices noted in the report, the majority of the report is dedicated to specific recommendations from the review committee related to updating specific criteria as it is outlined in the SASFAA Guide to Financial Management and other supporting documents. Many of the practices outlined in the Guide no longer apply to the day-to-day functions of the Association. Many of the recommendations for changes are a result of electronic processes currently utilized by SASFAA. A committee has been formed to review both the SASFAA Policies and
Procedures Manual and the SASFAA Guide to Financial Management to make
recommendations to the SASFAA Board for changes to the current documents.
This committee should complete its work this coming spring. |

Sponsorship Committee
Report Vendor/Sponsor support for SASFAA has broken all previous records in terms of total dollar support and the total number of participants. For the Annual Conference in Greensboro, the Association saw support from a total of 66 different vendors. The support included 16 Platinum, 16 Gold, 11 Silver and 23 Bronze sponsors. A total of 76 booths were used in the exhibit hall area. The generous support of these sponsors allows SASFAA to provide the quality conference that the membership deserves at reasonable costs to the membership. In addition to general conference support, SASFAA receives sponsorship
support for many other activities during the year. Support is received
to help offset costs associated with Executive Board meetings, various
committee meetings, and other functions throughout the year. Sponsorship
is currently being sought for the following events—Mid-Level Workshop,
New-Aid Workshop and the Transitional Executive Board Meeting. If any
organization would like to provide sponsorship at any of these events,
please contact Keith Reeves, Sponsorship
Chair, or follow the “Sponsorship” link on www.SASFAA.org. |
