Candidate for President Elect

 Chad Sartini

Statement of Candidacy

I am humbled to be considered as a candidate for the position of President-Elect for SASFAA.  Our Association has been an integral part of my growth as a professional, and I would be honored to give back and serve in this leadership position.  A few years ago, I had the pleasure of participating in our Leadership Symposium.  This past summer I was an instructor at our New Aid Officers Workshop.  I bring this up because the training opportunities our Association offers, like these and the annual conference, are outstanding.  They are outstanding opportunities to learn and to network.  To me, one of the most valuable assets our Association offers is the opportunity to network.  In my relatively short time as a financial aid administrator, the folks with whom I have trained and worked in SASFAA are invaluable professional colleagues and friends who I know I can call on at a moment’s notice to talk through a tough financial aid question, confer about best practices, or sometimes just vent.  I am excited at the prospect of giving back to our Association and serving the membership in this role because SASFAA has given so much to me.
