SASFAA Webinar - Satisfactory Academic Progress (SAP)
Join us on Wednesday, November 15th at 2:00 EST for an overview of Satisfactory Academic Progress (SAP). This session is great for new staff members, as well as a refresher for more seasoned FAAs. This session will be hosted by Sarah Baumhoff, Associate Director of Financial Aid at Kennesaw State University (GA) and Derek Ball, Kentucky Community and Technical College System.
Workshop Goals:
• Understand the basic standards that a school must include in its satisfactory academic progress policy.
• Assess their existing institutional satisfactory academic progress policy and determine if adjustments are appropriate.
• Recognize choices that a school has in determining specific aspects of a school’s satisfactory academic progress policy.
• Identify situations that may or may not warrant the extension of utilizing a financial aid warning, financial aid probation, or academic plan.
• Understand SAP consumer information requirements and what must be provided to prospective and currently enrolled students.
Registration is limited to active members and is limited to a total of 100 participants. Registrants will receive the link via email the day prior to the webinar.
