Southern Association of Student
          Financial Aid Administrators

Candidate for Secretary Elect

 Leigh Ann Hussey

Statement of Candidacy

It’s an honor to be considered for the position of Secretary for SASFAA as the association has long held a special place in my heart. Throughout my career, countless SASFAA members have poured into both my professional and personal development, and I am forever grateful for their guidance and friendship. I consider myself extremely lucky to have (very accidentally!) fallen into the financial aid profession, but the ever-changing nature of our profession does not come without it’s challenges. Thankfully, SASFAA’s mission of training financial aid administrators helps us all navigate those challenges so that each of us can best serve our students.

I make it a priority in my life to serve any person or entity that serves me, and SASFAA certainly fits that bill! I’ve enjoyed the opportunity to serve SASFAA in several capacities in the past, and it would certainly be an honor to serve the SASFAA membership at Secretary should I have the opportunity to do so.
