Candidate for Vice President

 Leigh Ann Hussey

Statement of Candidacy

It’s an honor to be considered for the position of Vice President for SASFAA as the association has long held a special place in my heart. Throughout my career, countless SASFAA members have poured into both my professional and personal development, and I am forever grateful for their guidance and friendship. I consider myself extremely lucky to have (very accidentally!) fallen into the financial aid profession, but the ever-changing nature of our profession does not come without it’s challenges. Thankfully, SASFAA’s mission of training financial aid administrators helps us all navigate those challenges so that each of us can best serve our students.

I make it a priority in my life to “give back”, and SASFAA is one way in which I am honored to do so! I’ve enjoyed the opportunity to serve SASFAA in several capacities in the past, and it would certainly be an honor to serve the SASFAA membership at Vice President should I have the opportunity to do so.
