Candidate for President Elect

Leigh Ann Hussey

Statement of Candidacy

Statement of Candidacy:

It’s an honor to be considered for SASFAA President-Elect as the association has long held a special place in my heart. Throughout my career, countless SASFAA members have poured into both my professional and personal development, and I am forever grateful for their guidance and friendship. I consider myself extremely lucky to have (very accidentally!) fallen into the financial aid profession, but - as we have all experienced over the past several years - the ever-changing nature of our profession does not come without its challenges. Thankfully, SASFAA’s mission of advocating for and training financial aid administrators helps us all navigate those challenges so that we can best serve our students.

I make it a priority in my life to “give back”, and SASFAA is one way in which I am honored to do so! I’ve enjoyed the opportunity to serve SASFAA in several capacities in the past, and it would certainly be the privilege of a lifetime to serve the SASFAA membership as President should I have the opportunity to do so.
