Candidate for Vice President

Katie Conrad

Statement of Candidacy

Thank you for considering my nomination for the position of SASFAA Vice President for Training.  It is an honor to be recommended to continue my service to the association as an Executive Board member.  Those who know me can attest to my passion for professional development and Board service.  During my 23 years in the Financial Aid profession, I’ve had countless mentors who have encouraged me to be involved in all levels of association work and to continue challenging myself to grow.  It has been a privilege to return the favor by mentoring newer financial aid administrators to become committed to growing in our profession.

My experience in KASFAA, FASFAA, SASFAA, and NASFAA has provided many opportunities to assist with planning and developing training activities, instructing at workshops, and presenting at conferences.  These types of training and professional development activities are at the heart of SASFAA’s mission, and I welcome the opportunity to serve the association in this way.
